Rose Tasting at the Trapp Family Lodge

Join the Trapp Family Lodge in our Wine Cellar for a Rose tasting with our sommelier, Michael Keene. Please reserve at (802) 253-8511.

I’ve noticed a big increase in interest in Rose wines lately. There are two ways to produce a rose, the first is to blend white wine with a little red, the second is to use red grapes only and pull the skins off before they impart much color, flavor or tannins.

Roses are wonderful with food and as a cool refresher. Our wines this week are made from a wide variety of grapes.

We will taste four still Roses and one sparkler.

Price is $40. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. (802) 253-5742. Doors open 4 p.m. They suggest you arrive no later than 5 p.m. to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. Tasting ends at 6 p.m.
