Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting
Back to Trapp Family Lodge
Join Trapp Family Lodge in their Wine Cellar for a Cabernet Sayignons wine tasting event on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
According to the Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar Sommeleier, Cabernet Sauvignon is arguably the king of red wine grapes has long been my favorite red varietal. I started drinking Cabs in high school, shared a bottle with my wife Ellen recently and hope to enjoy a good many more before I’m finished.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of crossing Cabernet Franc with Sauvignon Blanc back in the 1600s in France. Until Merlot surpassed it in the 1990’s Cabernet Sauvignon was the most widely planted red varietal in the world. Guests will taste wines from the USA, South Africa, Argentina and Spain.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations (802) 253-5742. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. They suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. The event ends at 6:00 p.m.
