The Vermont Coalition of Runaway & Homeless Youth Programs (VCRHYP) commissioned photographer Ned Castle to collaborate with youth at-risk of becoming homeless to re-enact high and low moments in their lives. The resulting large-scale photographs and audio narrations by these young participants provide insight into their struggles and triumphs, their incredible resiliency and the importance of a strong support network as they work to overcome multiple challenges and become successful members of their communities. The HighLow Project is traveling throughout Vermont, and as VCRHYP’s local member agency, the Lamoille Family Center is pleased to co-host this exhibit at the Helen Day Art Center. The opening reception on Friday August 20th from 5-8PM will include interaction with youth participants and photographer Ned Castle, brief comments from VCRHYP and the Lamoille Family Center, and light food.
