Sleigh Riding in Stowe

There are a host of sleigh riding options in Stowe. From romantic 2 person sleigh rides to larger group sleighs filled with hay bales as seats, a ride through Stowe's snow-filled pastures and woods will be a treat to remember.

Edson Hill Manor: Available all winter long through snow-laden evergreen forests. Throw Blankets are provided for your comfort. Enjoy a romantic ride with your special loved one.

Gentle Giants at Topnotch: One of New Englands most scenic and romantic rides.  Our Gentle Percheron and Belgian draft horses will await to pull you with their jingle bells ringing in a one or two horse open santa style sleigh with a curly dash. Enjoy a ride in our lovely new Romantic Sleigh for Couples. We will begin our journey through a charming covered bridge along an open brook on a winding wooded trail in the woods. Sleighs are all beautifully lit with enchanting lights for our evening rides. Warm blankets welcome you. Families and groups are welcome. Featured and recommended by Yankee Magazine. Stoweflake: Sleigh & Old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh and carriage rides through Stoweflake's property. Enjoy a sleigh ride and then warm up inside during a romantic dinner. Romantic moonlit rides for two and special group outings. Reservations taken at the Mountain Vacation Planners Desk.

Stowehof: Sleigh rides- 'Dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh' becomes a reality at the Stowehof. Capture the spirit and romance of the Victorian era with a moonlit sleigh ride for two or four. Bring family and friends for an afternoon ride to see the beautiful views from our meadows. Sleigh rides run:

4pm to 9pm Monday through Friday
2pm to 9pm Saturday and Sunday
Reservations are made at the Front Desk
Cancellations must be made by 12 noon the day of the ride

Trapp Family Lodge: Bring your family and your friends. and join us on our large sleigh. Bells ring, manes and tails fly as we pick-up the trot, and the glide of the sleigh is all part of old-fashioned fun! Meet across from the cross country ski center.

10am to 12pm & 1pm to 4pm
No reservation necessary
$15 adults, $10 children ages 4 to 12 Ages 3 and under ride for free

Private rides:
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
3:30pm to 7:30pm by reservation only. $25 adults, $15 children
