Carriage and Wagon Rides in Stowe

A carriage or wagon ride in Stowe is a wonderful outing to remember. Choose from three different options available:

Experience an old-fashioned, scenic wagon ride over our meadows withour resident team of horses, Burt and Rex, driven by Deb Ravenelle.

Wagon Rides! July 19th - Oct 19

Available Saturday, Sunday & Mondays
No reservations required - Private Wagon Rides Available @ 4:00pm

10am-12pm ( Last morning ride leaves at 11:30am )
(Closed 12pm-1pm)
1pm-4pm ( Last afternoon ride leaves at 3:30pm )
Rides leave every half hour. 

$15 - adults
$10 - children 4-12.
Children 3 & under are free.

Meet our Gentle Giants, Justin, Mack, Jack, Donny, and Tom. The largest Justin weighs 2200 pounds! These gentle Percheron and Belgian draft horses will take you on an unforgettable journey back in time. Choose one of five vehicles with beautiful old fashioned spindled wheels. Enjoy a ride in our new Elegant Victorian or Surrey Carriages, both for romantic couples rides! Our beautiful Vis-A-Vis four passeger carriage, white with luxurious red seats. This is a great wedding carriage!. All carriages have convertble tops in case of light rain. If a wagon ride is what you're looking for we offer two candy apple red 6 passenger and 12 passenger for familys and groups. Our scenic ride begins through a charming covered bridge onto a winding wooded trail along an open brook, then out into a meadow trail with spectacular views of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. We will then make our way back to trails end. You will have experienced a part of Vermont's past, a pleasurable memory that will last forver! Stowe Classic Farm Tractor Hay Rides

With our antique farm tractor hay ride tour, visitation to our horse ranch and Vermont stories this will likely be your " most memorable" experience visiting Stowe. Our two antique tractor are classic museum quality 1940's and 50's John Deere ( Green ) and International Harvesters ( Red ). The two hay wagons being used are matching and each have an occupancy of 15 passengers. Our destination is a horse ranch with a field of Clydesdales, and a barn with a 19th century carriage and a 1924 Farm Tractor that starts with a hand crank that still works! We can also schedule specific events by request.

$15 for adults
$10 for children under 13
Children under 4 are free

Departing from The Rusty Nail Restaurant on the Mountain Road 10:00am thru 4:00am on the hour Saturdays and Sundays thru October 31st. The 5:00pm time slot is reserved for private Hayrides set up by reservation for $150. 802-585-9006
