The Magic of Stowe in Winter
While Stowe is often called the Ski Capital of the East, there are many other winter activities to choose from as well. The combination of magnificent Mount Mansfield and the old world charm of Stowe Village has beckoned guests to our mountain retreat for over 200 years. With an average snowfall of 22 feet, Stowe is typically blanketed in white from mid-November through April.
Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding
In winter, skiers and snowboarders come from around the world to experience Mt. Mansfield's storied terrain. Stowe also offers sleigh-riding and dogsledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice skating.
Stowe Mountain Resort, with 13 lifts and more mile long lfts than any other resort in the East, has greatly improved its snowmaking coverage in 2012. A vast array of new snowmaking guns now covers 80% of the mountain's terrain! Learn more about Skiing & Riding in Stowe
