Independence Day in Stowe, Vermont — Enjoy a day-long celebration with parades, food, music, entertainers, fireworks and more! This is a great day to spend in Stowe, starting with the Moscow parade and ending with the annual fireworks display.

Also from July 1 - 4 is Stowe's annual Seven Miles of Sales. This four-day event features sales by locally-owned markets, boutiques, galleries, sporting goods shops and more on the Mountain Road and in the Village. Visit Seven Miles of Sales

Old Fashioned Fourth of July events include:

The Moscow Parade (10 a.m.)
The Moscow parade is known for it's casual and small town charm. All floats are put together the morning of the parade and participants are required to spend no more than $10 on their decorations.How to get there: Traveling north to Stowe on Route 100, look for Moscow Road on your left (just past The Fly Rod Shop). Follow Moscow Road to the village of Moscow.

Old-Fashioned Village Festival (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and Parade (1 p.m.)
The festival features street performers, musicians, face painting, caricature artists, and more. The traditional Independence Day parade will begin at 1 p.m. at the Stowe Events Field (off Weeks Hill Road) and travel down the Mountain Road towards the village, onto Main Street and ends at the Memorial Park. The Stowe "World's Shortest Marathon" (12 p.m.)
Join the 1.7 mile Fun Run. Starting at the intersection of Routes 100 & 108. Open to all participants.

Food, Fun, Friends & Fireworks at The Mayo Farm Events Field (6 p.m. 'til Dark)
Starting at 6 p.m., games and food for the family. Admission and most activities are free. Bring your blanket and lawn chair for the best view in town for the fireworks display. For details, please visit stowevibrancy.com
