The Catamount Trail Association (CTA) was incorporated in 1984 and is a member-supported, non-profit organization with the purpose of building, maintaining and protecting the Catamount Trail as a public resource, and furthering cross-country skiing in the state.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, the U.S. Forest Service, the 36 Vermont town governments the Trail passes through, as well as the nearly 200 private landowners whose property the Trail crosses, the Catamount Trail is now 100% complete.

Visit Peace Pups Dogsledding at one of our area locations for a wide range of dog powered activities.

Through out the winter we offer dogsled experiences both at our convenient Lake Elmore location and right in Stowe at the Stowe Mountain Resort. Through out the fall and spring we offer wheeled dog powered adventures.

We are available for educational dogsledding presentations for both private gatherings and schools. These can be custom tailored to fit your needs and can include slide shows and demonstrations.

We encourage all guests to book well in advance for any of our activities. We maintain a small kennel with the focus on sustainability and attention to detail.

We believe this offers our guests the best possible experience but it does limit the number of customers we can take out each week.
