Free poetry workshop

Free poetry workshop sponsored by River Arts and Lamoille County Court Diversion will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the United Church of Johnson, 100 Main St., across from Grand Union.

 

Julia Shipley, a published poet, instructor at River Arts, and professor at Sterling College, will lead the workshops.

The theme is praise poems. Participants are invited to the free Johnson Community Meal from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church and then work on poetry together. Information: Steve Ames, 888-1261; www.RiverArtsVt.org.
