North Country Animal League’s Century Bike Ride. The second annual Pedal for Paws event offers a choice of three classic bicycle rides through the scenic countryside of North Central Vermont. Riders can choose from the 100 mile Century, the 60 mile Metric Century or the 25 mile Fun Ride. Each rider is asked to collect “pledges” for the event’s beneficiaries (the dogs and cats at NCAL). There will be a post ride barbeque at the finish.

The Stowe Historical Society Museum is open from 10:00am - 12:00pm Tuesday and Friday throughout the year with the exception of Stowe Town Meeting Day, the first Tuesday in March. Arrangements can be made to be open at other times.
The Museum and Research Room are on the main floor of the Akeley Soldiers Memorial Town Hall on the west side of Main Street. Entrance is free, donations are accepted. The Stowe Historical Society does not have its own parking facility. Free parking is available throughout the village.
We recommend Groups planning to visit the Civil War collection and other artifacts from Stowe's more than 200 year history make reservations, as space is limited.
