Stowe kids say:
A lot of kids go to the covered ice skating rink in the village where you can rent skates for just a few dollars. When there’s “stick time” anyone can join a hockey game.
Ready, Set, Go!
The Kids at Stowe Middle School figured the best way to get to know Stowe is to head out around
town and the mountain on a scavenger hunt. The kids came up with all the questions. When you’ve finished the hunt, go to the Stowe Visitor Center for your prize!
1. Find the place where you’ll find Moosetracks inside (and 20
other kinds of ice cream).
2. Find the longest trail on the mountain.
3. Who’s wearing blue jackets with white crosses on the
mountain?
4. What do you smell a lot at the top of the Gondola?
5. How do you get to the Mountain free without a car from
your hotel?
6. Where do you find people doing tricks on boards and skis?
7. Where can you get a lot of candy for less than 50 cents?
8. Where’s there still an old-fashioned single-rider chairlift.
9. What color uniforms do the snowboard instructors wear?
10. Where can you go to string your own necklace or make a
plate in Stowe?
11. Where’s the Stowe Reporter?
12. Where can you eat and buy a present for your dog?
