Did you write your letter to Santa yet? We’re not kidding. If you’re coming to Stowe before Christmas, write to Santa in Stowe c/o Stowe Area Association, PO Box 1320, Stowe, VT 05672. You can meet him and talk about your wish list. He’ll even have your letter when you meet him.
You can also help chop down your own Christmas Tree while you’re here. There are 250 Christmas Tree Farms in Vermont. Kids in Stowe are used to going out to a tree farm to cut down their own Christmas tree. Paine’s Christmas Tree Farm is right in Stowe and you can take a wagon ride through the pines to find a good one!
You can even make your own candy canes to hang on the tree--boil, pull, turn, roll, and twist them--Peppermint, Spearmint, Wintergreen, Cinnamon or Vermont specialty Maple candy canes—on December weekends in December at Laughing Moon Chocolates (Depot Street in Stowe Village).
