SIXTEETH ANNUAL STOWE GARDEN FESTIVAL FEATURES DINING AT NEW STOWE MOUNTAIN LODGE

“Farm to Table Dinner” is an exclusive opportunity to experience artisan-inspired cuisine
Stowe, Vt (June 19, 2008) The 16TH Annual Stowe Garden Festival’s “Growing Green” theme will be exemplified by the Farm- to-Table Dinner at the just-opened and highly anticipated Stowe Mountain Lodge. The dinner, just one of the impressive events on the Stowe Garden Festival roster, will be held at the hotel’s Solstice restaurant on Saturday, June 28 at 6:30pm. Executive Chef Sean Buchanan, host of Vermont Public Television’s “Feast in the Making” will oversee the artisan-inspired cuisine, featuring three elegant courses of, quite naturally, the freshest and finest locally-grown produce.
Preceding the dinner will be an exclusive opportunity to tour the Stowe Mountain Club Golf Course and to hear from superintendant Kevin Komer as he discusses the creation and maintenance of this championship Bob Cupp mountain course, named one of Golf Magazine’s Top Ten New Courses for 2008. The course is the first Audubon International Signature Sanctuary and is a role model of sustainable development and environmental protection.
The afternoon continues on to Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Hourglass bar for an Organic Cocktail Party at 4pm and the Farm-to-Table Dinner at 6:30pm. The cost for the dinner is $60 plus tax and gratuity, space is limited, and reservations must be made by calling 802 279-1783. The Organic Cocktail Party will feature a cash bar and creative hors d’ oeuvres. A Stowe Garden Festival pass must be purchased for entrance to these events; weekend passes are $25; Two Day Pass is $15 and One Day Pass is $10. Passes can be purchased at the Stowe Garden Festival Information Booth at Golden Eagle Resort on Mountain Road/Route 108 in Stowe.
