STOWE WINE & FOOD CLASSIC PROMISES TO TEMPT TASTE BUDS JUNE 20-22
Northern New England's Premiere Wine & Food Event Benefits Copley Hospital

Two-time James Beard Award recipient and Oprah's former chef Art Smith,
more than 100 fine wines and chefs from The New England Culinary Institute
and renowned area restaurants are ready to tempt taste buds during Northern
New England's premiere Wine & Food Event: the 10th Annual Stowe Wine & Food
Classic. From June 20-22, 2008, serious and novice wine and culinary lovers
are invited to sample top rated wines from more than 50 producers and
vineyards as well as culinary treats from the region's finest Chefs. From
fresh delicious regional cuisine to traditional Austrian delicacies and
more, this unique event offers something for every appetite. The Stowe Wine
and Food Classic is presented by Stowe Charities, Inc. as a benefit for
Copley Hospital.

Friday, June 20 4pm-6pm: Kick-Off Premiere Wine Tasting
Designed with sophisticated wine-lovers in mind, the Kick-Off Premiere Wine
Tasting will highlight a tasting of traditional and non-traditional Italian
wines from top Brunello di Montalcino producers. Sponsored by Fine Wine
Cellars, this welcoming to wine and the weekend will take place in Trapp
Family Lodge's cavernous, stone wine cellar.

Saturday, June 21 6pm-11:30pm Reception, Gala Dinner, Dance & Live
Auction
Enjoy this exclusive opportunity to meet the vintners and representatives
presenting the weekend's fine wines and enjoy an unforgettable dinner
featuring the exquisite cuisine of Trapp Family Lodge Executive Chef Jürgen
Spagolla. The evening begins with a Champagne Reception provided by
Schramberg Vinyards before moving on to a five-course dinner with wines
provided by Hand Picked Selections. During the evening, guests will have the
opportunity to bid on prized and collectible wines as well as one-of-a-kind
items while dancing to live music.

Sunday afternoon is a cornucopia of tastes and experiences. Two
cooking demonstrations will be held: at 12:30pm with Chef Tom Bivins from
NECI and then at 1:30pm two-times James Beard Award recipient Chef Art
Smith. Smith is also known as Oprah's personal chef and from his work as a
tasting judge on Food Network's "Iron Chef America.". In addition, there
will be a series of wine seminars, ranging from how to identify different
Bordeaux to Wine 101. Dellie Rex, author of "About Wine," will hold an
informal discussion about wine.

The Grand Tasting features more than 100 wines from the leading
producing regions of the world, along with delicious foods, including
artisan breads and cheeses, focusing on Vermont quality products. The
Silent Auction will include great wines donated from the cellars of
participating wineries and private collectors, vacation packages, catered
dinners, furnishings and other enticing goods and services.

Tickets for the Stowe Wine and Food Classic range from $75 for the
Wine Tasting, to $150 per person for the Gala Dinner and Dance to $60 for
Sunday afternoon's activities. A package including all the events is priced
at $185. Dress is casual except for the Gala Dinner and Dance which is
black-tie optional. All of the events are held at Trapp Family Lodge.
