Stowe, Vermont Summer and Fall Festivals
Entertaining Festivals a Hallmark of the Season

Stowe, Vt (July 20, 2007) Summer and fall events in Stowe, Vermont this year will entertain a wide variety of interests.
The gastronome and the oenophile will be well served by attending the following events:
- The New Taste of Stowe Arts Festival. This event combines, for the first time, the forces of the Helen Day Art Center and promoter Craftproducers, and features two artists’ tents hosting over 150 jury-selected artists and artisans who design and make their products. Pottery, blown and stained glass, painting, printmaking, sculpture, leather, wood and furniture are some examples of the crafters’ disciplines. One can’t live by art alone, and The New Taste of Stowe Arts Festival also embraces the culinary arts, with Stowe restaurants offering food and wine tastings. Art, craft, food and wine are joined by the musical arts, with live acts throughout the day. At the Topnotch Field on the Mountain Road, July 27-29, 10am to 5pm daily.
- Blueberry Festival featuring blueberry and other fruit wines and of course blueberry pies and jams, August 4, 1-5pm at Grand View Winery, East Calais, VT
- More wine harvests! The 10th Annual Celebration of the Vine Harvest Festival features harvest and press grapes, live music, games for kids, hayrides, llamas, antique farming demos and of course…grape stomping contest. September 15-16, Cambridge, VT

For the Performing Arts enthusiast:
- Internationally acclaimed virtuosos and the best and brightest rising stars in classical music today will perform at the 6th Annual Stowe Summer Music Festival, August 15-18. Amazingly, there is no admission charge.
Held at the Symphony Auditorium, Stowe High School. Percussion group from Mexico, Tambuco, will be another highlight of the program.

Just Plain Fun:
- 11th Annual Stowe Oktoberfest—Bavarian fun, Stowe Style. Grand Parade, Oompah Bands (when was the last time you heard an Oompah Band?); German food & of course, beer.
- Fifty years of presenting nearly 1,000 pristine antique and classic automobiles guarantees attendees of the Stowe Antique & Classic Car Meet an unforgettable experience. These flawless wonders will parade through the streets of Stowe, and an Oldies Street Dance will close Main Street in Stowe Village to honor the Golden Anniversary. August 10-12.
- More autos on display when The 17th Annual British Invasion descends upon the Stowe Events Field, September 14-16. Features all-British classic and sports cars, plus British cultural activities, shops, crafts and food. One of the Top Ten Events in Vermont. This year’s featured Marque is the Mini!
- Autumn and fine craft festivals are a natural fit, and Stowe hosts one of the finest, October 5-7, on the Topnotch Field. The 25th Annual Stowe Foliage Art & Craft Festival spotlights 185 artists with a wide variety of arts & crafts for discerning buyers. Craft demos, music, wine tasting and harvest activities along with these fine crafts are housed under heated Camelot-style tents.
