STOWE NAMES BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
Annual Membership Dinner honors Biedermann, Commodores Inn, Dick Marron

Stowe, Vt (June 28, 2007) Stowe Area Association presented a number of honors at their Annual Membership Dinner, which was recently hosted by the Green Mountain Inn.

The Annual Stowe Business Person of the Year award was awarded to Ken Biedermann, General Manager of the Green Mountain Inn. Born and raised in Stowe, Beidermann assisted in the development of the Center Village project, the first phase of which was the renovation and re-organization of the Inn, located in the village of Stowe. Ken has also been an active member of the Stowe School Board, and was involved with the inception of the Vermont Ski Museum’s relocation to Stowe, and currently serves as Vice-President.
Beidermann has been an active member of the Stowe Area Association, and his early participation on the Internet Committee helped shape the vision of how gostowe.com would market the tourism industry in Stowe.

Bruce and Carrie Nourjian, owners of The Commodores Inn were given the annual Stowe Weekend of Hope Governor’s Proclamation, with great appreciation for the support they offer to the Weekend, especially to those who arrive by Amtrak’s Train of Hope.

Former Stowe Representative in the Vermont Legislature and owner of the Town & Country Resort, Dick Marron received a granite clock from Rock of Ages Quarry in appreciation for his years of service in Montpelier.

is first and foremost a tourism marketing organization, and secondly a chamber of commerce.
