TICKETS FOR FED CUP IN STOWE, VERMONT SOLD OUT
Limited Number Still Available Through Stowe Area Association Packages

Stowe, Vt. (June 11, 2007)– The USTA has announced a sell-out for the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Semifinal between the United States and Russia at Stowe’s Topnotch Resort and Spa on July 14-15. It is the fastest home sell-out for the U.S. Fed Cup team since the 2003 quarterfinal tie in Lowell, Mass., when the U.S. defeated the Czech Republic, 5-0.

A limited number of VIP packages are still available through the Stowe Area Association, in partnership with Grand Slam Tennis Tours. To reserve one of the remaining packages, please call the Stowe Visitor Information Center at 1-800-GO-STOWE or visit www.gostowe.com or www.stowe.travel. Ticket holders may also book accommodations through these resources.

Located at the foot of Mt Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, the quintessential village of Stowe has been a destination for tourists for over 200 years. A true four-season destination of international renown, Stowe offers endless opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors—hiking, mountain and road biking, golf, kayaking/canoeing and tennis. Stowe boasts nearly 50 different lodging options, from full-service resort spas to quaint B&Bs and rental homes, which help make the town a perfect fit for a world-class tennis event. Stowe also offers visitors more than 70 unique shops and 40 restaurants, fitting every taste and budget.

Tickets went on sale on Tuesday, June 5, and sold so rapidly USTA officials quickly addressed the heavy demand by increasing the number of seats in the stadium, constructed specially for this semifinal. The original configuration of the 3,000-seat facility has been expanded to a capacity of 4,100 so the venue can hold as many fans as possible, while ensuring a positive experience for everyone.

The best-of-five match series begins on July 14 with two singles matches and is followed by two reverse singles matches and the doubles match on July 15. Among the possible participants are reigning Australian Open champion Serena Williams, five-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams, the world’s No. 1 doubles player, Lisa Raymond, and Russian standouts Svetlana Kuznetsova, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, and Nadia Petrova.

Fed Cup by BNP Paribas is the world’s largest annual international women’s team competition with 82 countries competing this year. The United States leads all nations with 17 Fed Cup titles, the last coming in 2000, and is one of eight nations competing for the 2007 Fed Cup title as part of the Fed Cup World Group.

The Tennis Channel will present live daily coverage of the U.S. vs. Russia Fed Cup Semifinal.
